The newest thing that almost all players use is referred to as the GF.
Why the GF?
- Obviously “GF” stands for “girlfriend,” but why is it named that? Everyone wants a girlfriend or at least to be with one. Often times guilds will post that if you want to “date the gf” to message a certain player and they’ll set you up. This is just a fun way of asking for info!
What is the GF?
- The GF is really called the angel/DSIS, which stands for the Deep Space Intelligence System. This system is a database that runs an automatic script in AE that sends 10 Scout Ships (SS) throughout the galaxy that they’re in and checks each and every astro, fleets, bases, and what players are there. IT puts it all nicely in the database that the owner (know as the Supreme Being inside the DSIS) can give access to any player in the server…usually just guildmates though!

How do you USE the GF?
- This is probably the most common question I get asked.. it’s complicated at first to setup but once it’s set up it’s really easy to use!

Are there risks of using the GF?
- Yes, but no.
- realistically the rules state: It is forbidden to use tools that simulate or change the web interface. The same applies to scripts that load or read site pages (making actions or collecting data). Is prohibited to use auto-refresh functions, tools to open or refresh several pages simultaneously and other browser integrated mechanisms of this nature.
- That being said, the admins RARELY if ever ban players for using this system. Most everyone that I’ve spoken to about it when I first started using the GF agree that the admins probably let us get away with it since they don’t have anything to counter-offer players. I mean come on, it would take HOURS a day to scout 1 galaxy… we spend enough time in this game! (I have never heard of a ban from using DSIS)
- Generally speaking, as long as you let the GF run while you’re off doing something other than AE you should be fine. Just don’t be messaging players, posting on boards, attacking, etc.. in the same server that the GF is running and they can’t detect it.
